"I first saw Pat at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles giving a bridle-less demonstration on a mule. Little did I know what a life-changing event that was for me.

Getting into horses "later in life" made me realize I needed savvy... fast. My third horse, Blaze, was sold to me with admonishment that "he won't load or lunge, and always bucks a little." We were winning at team penning but it was always begrudgingly and with opposition reflex due to my lack of savvy. We both had a lot of baggage to overcome.

A true bond began at Level One and trust and success increased by the square with each level achieved. Now my thoughts become his actions. I move his feet like they were my own, bridle-less with only a savvy string - anywhere and with anyone, at any gait.

Studying Pat's program gave me the confidence and skill to make my next horse. He is a four-year-old red roan, born on our ranch, imprinted and started in an English saddle. He won't have to wait for me as long as Blaze did. I am living proof that anyone can do this. The difference between a dream and reality is never giving up."
